Gooey Chocolate Brownies
Preparation time 15 minutes. Cooking time 15-20 minutes
Ingredients
Makes 16 slices
- 100g butter
- 1 cup caster sugar
- 2 free-range eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ cup cocoa
- 100g white chocolate, cut into chunks
- 100g dark chocolate, cut into chunks
Method
- Preheat conventional oven to 180°C and line a 20cm square slice tin
- Melt the butter then whisk in the sugar
- Whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract
- Sift the flour, baking powder and cocoa into the mixture and add the chocolate chunks then gently fold until just combined – don’t over mix
- Pour the mixture into your prepared tin and bake in the centre of the pre-heated oven for 15 to 20 minutes until a skewer still has a little mixture sticking to it when inserted into the centre. Leave to cool in the tin before slicing.
