Raspberry, Mango and Almond Smoothie

The nutrients that this smoothie provides include vitamins C, B5, E, biotin, manganese and calcium

Vitamin C is found in mango; it is an antioxidant, it also protects eyesight, boosts immunity, speeds up wound healing, acts as a natural antihistamine, protects against skin damage and promotes sperm health.

Almonds contain biotin which promotes healthy skin & hair and aids fat metabolism. Vitamin B5 helps combat stress, lowers cholesterol levels, helping to protect against heart disease, promotes the production of antibodies to fight infection, helps prevent hair loss & greying and helps to rejuvenate the skin and heal wounds. Vitamin E supports the immune system, heart health and promotes healthy skin. Manganese strengthens bones and is essential for collagen formation and wound healing.

The calcium in the yogurt protects against osteoporosis, relieves cramps and protects against high blood pressure.

Ingredients

Serves 1

  • 1 handful of fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 1/2 a mango, cubed (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 portion of vanilla protein powder
  • 2 tbsp greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup of ice (if using fresh fruit) or filtered water (if using frozen fruit)

Method

Add all of the ingredients to a blender in the order of the list and blitz until smooth. Serve immediately.
