Kale Chips
Very quick and easy to make – great if you’re trying to avoid crisps but are craving a crunchy snack!
Prep time 5 minutes. Cooking time 10-15 minutes
Ingredients
- Kale
- Dash of olive oil (ideally in a spray bottle)
- Salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Small pinch of chili powder (optional)
Method
- Pre-heat conventional oven to 175°C
- Line a large oven tray with baking paper
- Remove the kale leaves from the thick stalks and tear into bite size pieces
- Scatter the kale leaves on the oven tray, spray lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper and chili (if using)
- Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, tossing 1 or 2 times, until the edges start to turn brown.
- Serve immediately or leave to cool then store in an air-tight container for up to 48 hours.
